The Cassiar Highway is chosen as the route to go north. It weaves it's way north between the Rocky Mountains and the Coastal Mountains. It's a beautiful drive and a bit more challenging than the Alaska Highway.
The first campsite for the Cassiar Hwy is the Cassiar RV Resort; basically it's a mowed pasture with 3 foot tall posts that have numbers on them to indicate each site. The posts also help you find the water and power hookups - after all it is hard to mow close to a post with a golf course style mower. The resort does offer a great view of the mountains. There is no doubt that things are becoming more remote and primitive.
